"Now join your hands, and with your hands your hearts." -William Shakespeare
Devon and Sofia had an amazing Long Island wedding. It was the first time I shot a wedding out that direction - but I have already been back out there and hopefully will continue to be able to shoot at some of the glorious locations that Long Island has to offer.
This couple is gorgeous, their bridal party was gorgeous, their venue and portrait locations were gorgeous. There was nothing that wasn't thought out or perfectly designed for this wedding. It was a photographer's DREAM. One of my favorite moments - their perfect first look. They came up to each other in a botanical garden and read each other letters privately. We gave them space to have their moments together. It was emotional and beautiful - even from afar.
They choose a location for portraits that was exceptional - tons of beautiful nooks and crannies. We could have spent hours at the Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park. Brides - think about your locations!!! I am happy to assist you finding something special! They also had a beautiful venue with lots of natural light in the bridal suite - a extra bonus for us! The reception area was beautiful and elegant. It was a pleasure to work with the Royalton Mansion at the Roslyn County Club.
Devon & Sofia - your long distance romance may have been a struggle at times but your wedding was a celebration of those highs and lows. All those plane rides and Skype calls, all the time change frustration and tearful goodbyes - all that brought you guys to your perfect and special spring day. You guys have created a relationship that can withstand anything. I am so happy for you!!! Congrats!
